Don't let Covid-19 disrupt your child's learning!

Picture

N1 Learning Continuity

Consistent learning of skills and concepts makes a real and lasting difference during your child's formative years.

Therefore, in these 4 weeks of lesson suspension and #stayhome movement, we would like to continue to support you and your child by providing instructional videos on parent-child bonding activities and printables.

We carefully selected 4 different cognitive abilities to work on as these are the skills that requires continuous practice to master;
1) Spatial reasoning skills
2) Number concepts - Division / Multiplication
3) Memory with grids
4) Logical thinking skills

We would also like to encourage you to do these parent-child bonding activities
with your child to help with their mental, social and emotional development.

Enjoy the activities that we prepared for you, stay safe and we will see you in May!

Lessons may be suspended but learning continues!

To show our appreciation for your continuous support and trust, we have carefully prepared home reinforcement instructional videos for you and printables for your child

Here's what you will get:

(1) Home reinforcement instructional video on how you can help your child to train the skills at home

(2) Printable Home Practices PDF (available only to existing sudents - password whatsapped to you)

Week 1 (20 May) : Spatial Ability with Maps

Spatial ability is the capacity to understand and remember the spatial relations among objects. This ability is a unique type of intelligence which is different from other forms of intelligence, such as verbal ability, reasoning ability, and memory skills.

Research has shown that exceptional spatial ability predicts creativity, innovative potential and academic achievements, especially in the STEM fields.

Spatial ability training is badly neglected in our schools. By giving it earlier and better emphasis, we can help more children unlock their potential.

Week 2 (27 May) : Numeracy | Division & Multiplication

Numerical reasoning skills include connecting numbers to quantities. At this age, it is crucial for preschoolers to develop number sense. Number sense allows them to count forward and backwards, in order to learn the relationship between numbers.

Division and multiplication skills allow children to apply them into real life scenarios such as sharing a pie or handling money.

Concepts of division and multiplication are also introduced to set a foundation of mathematical problem-solving for preschoolers to succeed in Primary School.

Week 3 (3 June) : Memory with Grids

Simple spatial concepts allow children to be more aware of their surroundings. With the use of grids in activities, you can help to strengthen your child's spatial intelligence.

This activity involves the use of spatial language and visual spatial skills which is important for children to establish spatial relations between objects or places.

Let your child work on this simple activity and boost his spatial ability significantly!

Week 4 (10 June) : Correspondence Skills | Sizes

A larger bag is needed to hold more things while a smaller baby wears a smaller shirt. Many young children understand this concept of comparison. However, when we involve ordering in the comparison between two or more parties, young children are then required to think multiple steps.

In this video, the activity focuses on correspondence skills with sizes. With this small activity, develop your child's logical thinking abilities and help them to understand the relationship between two objects or more better.
