Our Japan Founding School

Established in 1986, KUNO method is one of Japan’s leading enrichment for preschoolers renowned for their focus on developing thinking skills through a well-researched, play-based style of education.

Children aged 3 to 6 years old learn how to think and problem-solve independently whlle learning advanced-for-age concepts. This helps them prepare well for and excel in Primary School subjects that test clarity of thought, comprehension and logical thinking, such as Maths and Science.

Yasuyoshi Kuno 久野 泰可

Yasuyoshi Kuno is a well-known educator in Japan who is often invited by educational institutions in Japan and China to conduct seminars to share his knowledge and expertise with the public and university students.

​The KUNO method was developed by Yasuyoshi Kuno more than 30 years ago through his research on preschool education as well as his personal teaching of classes. 

​Recognised for his experience and work, Yasuyoshi Kuno was
  • Chief of Early Childhood Education Practice Research Institute  (1983 – 1986)
  • Consultant to Osaka City to revamp the state-provided early childhood education for pre-primary children 
  • Invited to give a 30-part lecture on the NTT DoCoMo gacco (i.e. web service for lectures by university faculty members)

Highly regarded for the value and effectiveness of KUNO method in children education, NTT DOCOMO, Japan's predominant mobile phone service operator, is now working closely with KUNO method in launching online education apps for children as well as sharing lectures by Yasuyoshi Kuno on NTT DOCOMO's platform.
